Branch Moody graduated from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and the HHMI Cloister Scholars’ Program, and he trained as a research fellow in the Laboratory of Steven Porcelli. He currently serves as a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology, Immunology and Allergy at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. His laboratory has carried out basic and translational work in the human CD1 system for more than fifteen years with support from the NIH, Pew Foundation, Burroughs Wellcome Fund and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Current work focuses on human T cell response to CD1b in tuberculosis disease and the role of CD1a and CD1c autoreactive T cells in autoimmunity.
