The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University is the largest faculty of its kind in Australia, within the nation’s largest university. The research capability, achievements and potential of the Faculty, along with its academic excellence is evidenced by consistent top-50 places in the authoritative Times Higher Education and QS World University rankings.   

We believe that research provides the most valuable basis for improved health care standards, and that our research should lead towards a clinical application and translation of outcomes to the end user.

Monash has received the highest amount of performance based funding for academic excellence in healthcare and the biomedical sciences.  

As the only Australian member of the prestigious M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centers, Universities and National Academies, Monash is a prominent participant at the World Health Summit held annually in Berlin, and a key influence upon the global agenda for public health.
